June 2009 Newsletter
UMIS - Home and School Association (H.S.A.) News
Submitted by Amy Bates, Recording Secretary
As we approach the end of the school year, the HSA executive board would like to extend thanks to all UMIS parents for a great 2008-2009 school year! All who worked on activities, served on committees, participated in fund-raising efforts, or attended family events made a difference for our students this year. Special thanks also to Dr. Waters, teachers, and staff for all they do for our children.
Have a fun and safe summer! We hope to see you all at our first meeting in the fall.

REMINDERS
- In these economic times, fund-raising can be difficult. UMIS participates in a number of campaigns that cost our families nothing, but gain money or points that can be redeemed for items used in the school. Please send in any box tops, Campbell’s soup labels, and used inkjet cartridges and cell phones that you have now, and continue to save them over the summer. If you know of any other “cash for trash” fund-raising programs, please pass on the information!
- Sign up for the e-communicator at www.umtsd.org/newsletter/index.htm. By signing up for e-communicator, you will get up-to-the-minute paperless information and reminders about events at the school.
